How long are lessons?
I offer 30/45/60 minute lessons based on you and your child’s goals. Semesters run parallel to the school calendar, with optional winter and summer breaks from lessons together.
How much are lessons?
$50 for 30 minutes, $75 for 45 minutes, and $100 an hour.
Where do you teach?
I am currently offering lessons in Brookline, Brighton, and Boston! Virtual lessons also available — reach out for more information!
How do you teach?
My teaching style is a unique blend of technique (music theory, sight reading, and musicality) and creativity (songwriting & composition, storytelling, and self-expression). I provide my students a positive and affirming space to find their creative voice while making tangible progress with their instrument. My ultimate goal is to instill confidence, provide a fun atmosphere, and nurture a love for music.
Songwriting?
Yes! I use songwriting as a way to encourage my students to discover their musicality and creativity through harmonic & melodic choice, lyrical rhythm, and instrumentation. My students often work off of fun guided prompts (favorite color, vacation, dream pet). The semester ends with designing their very own songbook.
